Discover the Magic of October Sunset Art Tour in Madison Square Park

Immerse Yourself in Stunning Sculptures and Community Vibes This Fall

Fall in New York City brings a special glow to Madison Square Park, especially with the October Sunset Art Tour highlighting Larry Bell's captivating installations.

This free 15-minute guided experience invites visitors to explore the artist's monumental glass sculptures that play with light and reflection amid the park's greenery.

Larry Bell's Improvisations in the Park marks his largest public project yet, transforming the urban oasis into a shimmering wonderland.

Scheduled for October 15 at 6:00 PM, the tour led by Assistant Curator Tiera Ndlovu promises insights into how these angular pieces interact with the evening sky.

But that's not all happening this month in this beloved Flatiron District spot.

On October 9, dive into the flavors of the Taste of Asia event, a culinary fest celebrating diverse Asian cuisines and fostering community bonds from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

Shifting gears to nature, join horticulture experts for a Garden Walk on October 14 at 5:30 PM, touring the park's accredited arboretum and its ancient trees.

Later, on October 21, drop by for Bench Hours with Executive Director Holly Leicht near the Southern Fountain starting at 3:30 PM—no signup needed, just spot the sign.

Cap off the month with The Eras Tour on October 28 at 5:30 PM, where Holly Leicht shares the park's rich history and neighborhood tales.

These events build on recent developments, like the park's role as Manhattan's only accredited arboretum, drawing locals and tourists alike for cultural and natural escapes.

With no rainfall last October, the resilient gardens still bloom, offering hope and beauty in the city hustle.

Madison Square Park continues to thrive as a hub for art, food, and history, supported by community donations to keep it vibrant.

Don't miss the October Sunset Art Tour—it's a perfect way to unwind and connect with New York's creative spirit.
