Exciting news for foodies in the Flatiron District: Chi Chicken, the innovative Asian fusion eatery specializing in soup-based hot pot, is set to make its Manhattan debut with a new location at 37 West 26th Street. This marks the brand's second outpost following its successful launch in Long Island City, Queens, last year, bringing customizable hot pots, fresh ingredients, and bold flavors to the heart of NYC's vibrant culinary scene.
The restaurant has inked a 10-year lease for a 2,500-square-foot ground-floor space in Windsor Management's historic 12-story office building, originally constructed in 1908. Nestled between Fifth Avenue and Avenue of the Americas, the spot boasts an asking rent of $120 per square foot and joins a lively retail mix including the upscale nightclub The Flatiron Room and trendy lounge La Vibra. Upstairs, office tenants like Idesco and US One Driving School add to the building's dynamic energy.
Represented by Lee & Associates NYC brokers Catherine O’Toole, Stephanie Moore, David Scher, and Jordan Cohen, Chi Chicken secured the deal with the self-represented landlord. Slated to open in November 2026, the new venue promises an inviting atmosphere for communal dining, perfect for locals seeking authentic yet modern twists on traditional hot pot. With its emphasis on quality broths, premium proteins, and seasonal veggies, Chi Chicken is poised to become a go-to gathering spot in Flatiron.
Whether you're craving spicy Szechuan-inspired pots or milder options, this expansion highlights the district's evolving food landscape. Keep an eye out for grand opening details—Flatiron's dining scene just got hotter! |
