Disco music highlights in Manhattan, New York

Featuring 1970s dance music and Melba Moore

Disco music continues to captivate Manhattan, with events celebrating the vibrant 1970s dance scene and honoring icons like Melba Moore.

In February 2026, Melba Moore delivered a powerhouse performance at the South Orange Performing Arts Center, showcasing her five-octave vocal range and timeless hits. Fans were thrilled by her renditions of classics like "This Is It" and "You Stepped Into My Life."

Looking ahead, Melba Moore is set to return to Manhattan's 54 Below Supper Club on June 24 and 25, 2026. These performances will coincide with Black Music Month, offering audiences a chance to experience her dynamic stage presence and celebrate her enduring contributions to disco and R&B.

Additionally, the Manhattan Club at 350 5th Ave is hosting "Disco Music Magic" starting May 9, 2026. This event promises to transport attendees back to the golden era of disco, featuring classic tracks and a lively dance floor.

These events underscore the lasting appeal of disco music in Manhattan, providing both longtime fans and new enthusiasts opportunities to revel in the genre's infectious energy.
