Flatiron new restaurants in Manhattan New York

Explore nomad new restaurants alongside the latest Manhattan new restaurants

The Flatiron and NoMad neighborhoods in Manhattan have recently welcomed a diverse array of new dining establishments, each bringing unique flavors and experiences to the area. From homestyle Thai cuisine to innovative Italian street food, there's something to tantalize every palate.

**Wanglang**, located at 49 West 24th Street, introduces authentic Thai homestyle cooking under the guidance of Executive Chef Rattana Suntanalukn. Born and raised in Bangkok, Chef Suntanalukn brings generations-old recipes to New York City, offering dishes like crispy shrimp cakes and steamed whole branzino in spicy Thai sauce. The restaurant's name pays homage to a vibrant riverside town in Thailand, reflecting its commitment to traditional flavors.

In NoMad, **Skewr** at 127 East 27th Street focuses on live-fire cooking and Levantine-style dining. Led by Executive Chef Austin Torsiello, formerly of Junoon and Masa, Skewr offers a menu rich with mezze, skewers, and shared plates. Diners can enjoy dishes like braised lamb with sumac and mussels in saffron-chili broth, all within an energetic and welcoming atmosphere.

For cocktail enthusiasts, **Stone & Soil** at 124 East 28th Street presents a Japanese-inspired bar experience rooted in the philosophy of Omotenashi, or wholehearted hospitality. Beverage Director Hirotomo Akutsu curates a menu of 22 precision-crafted cocktails, emphasizing whole ingredients and house fermentation. The minimalist design, featuring recycled wood and leather, complements the thoughtful drink offerings.

**PIADI**, situated at 18 East 23rd Street, brings the tradition of Italian piadina to the Flatiron district. Established in Italy in 1994, this marks PIADI's first U.S. location. Guests can customize their flatbreads with a choice of traditional or whole wheat dough and a variety of fillings, including prosciutto di Parma and burrata. The menu also features Italian plates, fresh salads, and sweet treats like the Nutella-filled Donutella.

Adding to the neighborhood's culinary landscape, **Levain Bakery** has opened a new location at 2 West 18th Street, known for its iconic, generously sized cookies. This marks the bakery's eighth location in New York City, continuing its tradition of offering freshly baked goods to both residents and visitors.

For those seeking a fusion of cuisines, **Aqua** at 902 Broadway offers both Italian and Japanese menus under one roof. The expansive 24,000-square-foot space accommodates 432 guests, providing distinct dining experiences with separate kitchens dedicated to each cuisine. Diners can choose from dishes like arancini and sushi, all within a stylish setting.

In the realm of Cantonese cuisine, **Nomad Tea Parlour** at 244 5th Avenue brings modern interpretations of traditional dishes to the area. Inspired by American Chinatown and Hong Kong dining, the restaurant offers a menu rich with dim sum and other Cantonese favorites, aiming to celebrate and modernize Chinese American culinary traditions.

These new establishments contribute to the vibrant and ever-evolving dining scene in Flatiron and NoMad, offering residents and visitors a plethora of options to explore and enjoy.
